SXL wires are built to withstand high heat, aging, and abrasion. These wires are preferred for high-stress applications such as industrial use vehicles. These wires have a temperature range of -51°F to +125°F. SXL wires have a standard wall thickness, thicker than the insulation on GXL wire. Due to this SXL wire is primarily used in engine compartments.
